Holiday Fruit Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. canned fruit cocktail, drained
Preparation
    Beat egg in saucepan.
    Stir in sugar, cornstarch and salt. Stir in milk; cook and stir over medium heat until thickened. Cook and stir 1 minute longer.
    Stir in butter and vanilla.
    Add fruit.
    Cool before serving.
    Serves 6.
