Batter Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 pt. sweet milk
    1 1/2 c. blueberries
Preparation
    Sift flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt several times.
    Add melted butter to sugar and stir in egg and milk.
    Put berries in pie plate and dredge with flour mixture.
    Sift flour into liquid mixture; mix.
    Fold in berries.
    Pour into buttered steamer; cover and steam for 1 hour.
    Serve warm with foamy pudding sauce.
