Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 large Bermuda onions
    vegetable oil
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg
    3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Peel onions and cut into 1/4-inch slices.
    Separate into rings.
    Heat 1 inch of oil in a 3-quart saucepan to 375\u00b0.
    Beat remaining ingredients until smooth.
    Dip each ring into batter, letting excess drip into bowl.
    Fry a few at a time in hot oil, turning once until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Keep warm in 300\u00b0 oven until ready to serve.
