Cherry Brownie Snack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (21.5 oz.) pkg. fudge brownie mix
    1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
    1 egg
    1 tub Betty Crocker deluxe frosting
    1 tsp. almond extract
    few drops red food coloring (if desired)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Geaase bottom and sides of 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with shortening.
    Stir brownie mix, pie filling and egg in large bowl until well mixed.
    Spread in pan.
    Bake about 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
    Cool completely.
    Stir almond extract and food coloring into frosting. Spread over cake.
