Vanilla Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    2 c. milk
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. heavy cream
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, beat together the eggs and milk.
    Add the sugar and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for about 10 minutes or until the mixture is thickened.
    Don't let it boil or the eggs will curdle.
    The mixture is thick enough when it coats the back of a spoon smoothly.
    Cool and then stir in the cream and vanilla.
    It's best to cover the mixture and refrigerate overnight before churning it in an ice cream maker.
    This ice cream has 250\u00b0 calories per half cup serving.
