Custard Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. powdered milk
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. tepid water
4 large eggs
3/4 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. almond
nutmeg for top
Preparation

Brush pie shell with egg white; let dry.
Preheat oven to 425\u00b0. Use lower shelf in oven.
Mix small amount of water with dry ingredients.
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Add the rest of flavoring.
Pour into unbaked pie shell.
Bake at 400 for 25 minutes; turn over to 325\u00b0 until knife inserted on outside edge of custard comes out clean, about 25 minutes.
Let set and center will finish cooking.
Sprinkle nutmeg on filling just before you bake.
