Sweet Pickle Peaches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    2 c. vinegar
    whole cloves
    peaches
Preparation
    Select firm, well
    ripened
    peaches and small enough to go in jars whole.
    Make
    syrup
    of
    vinegar and water, boil 10 minutes. Cook peeled
    peaches
    in boiling syrup until tender. Pack in sterilized jars.
    Fill
    jars
    with boiling syrup and 3 or 4 whole cloves;
    seal.
