Al Wright'S Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 doz. chowder clams (ground)
    1/2 lb. salt pork
    6 potatoes
    2 carrots (large)
    2 medium onions
    1 small can stewed tomatoes
Preparation
    Steam clams to open.
    Strain juice thoroughly.
    Grind salt pork and brown in small pan.
    Grind potatoes, carrots and onions. Put in a 5-quart pot.
    Add water to cover; cook until almost tender.
    Add pork, clams and juice.
    Simmer 2 to 3 hours.
    Add stewed tomatoes in the last 15 minutes.
