Polenta Con Salsiccia - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Italian sausage or chicken, cut up
    1 lb. mushrooms
    2 1/2 c. (32 oz. can) tomatoes
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. cold water
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. water
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Add mushrooms and sausage to skillet; cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms and sausage are lightly browned. Slowly stir in tomatoes, salt and pepper.
    Simmer 20 to 30 minutes.
