Double Berry Jam - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. fresh blueberries, washed and crushed
    1 qt. fresh red raspberries, washed and crushed
    7 c. sugar
    1/2 (6 oz.) bottle liquid fruit pectin
Preparation
    Measure 4 cups of fruit (fill last cup with water if necessary) into a large saucepan; add sugar.
    Heat to a full rolling boil.
    Boil hard 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in pectin; skim.
    Pour into 8 hot scalded 1/2-pint jars.
    Seal at once.
