Aunt Peggy'S Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. white syrup
    pinch of salt
    1 1/2 c. raw peanuts
    1/2 tsp. margarine
    1 heaping tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cook sugar, syrup and salt in heavy skillet until mixture spins a thread.
    Leave on heat and add peanuts.
    Leave on high heat, stirring constantly, until peanuts are parched-looking (tan) and syrup is red.
