Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    2 heaping tsp. milk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients and cut in 1/2 cup shortening.
    Mixture should resemble coarse meal.
    Blend in vanilla, egg and milk. Mixture should form a ball.
    Roll on floured board; cut with cutters and bake for 8 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Use only shortening in this recipe for best results.
    This is a cookie batter that does not need to be refrigerated.
