Chocolate Cherry Thumbprints - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. (1 stick plus 3 Tbsp.) margarine or butter, softened
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) chocolate chips
2 (10 oz.) jars (2 c.) maraschino cherries, drained and pat dry
2 c. oatmeal (quick or regular)
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
Preparation

Beat sugar, margarine, egg and vanilla until smooth.
Add 1 cup morsels, melted.
Mix well. Stir in oats, flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well.
Cover and chill dough 1 hour.
