Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. white corn syrup
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cold water
    3 c. shelled and split raw peanuts
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 heaping tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix syrup, sugar
    and
    water.
    Boil hard for 5 minutes, then add peanuts.
    Let
    come to a boil; fold over and over for about 5 minutes
    or
    until
    peanuts
    are golden brown.
    Remove from
    heat and add salt and soda. Beat hard and quickly spread on buttered surface and pull out thin while hot.
