Braised Beef With Mahogany Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. chuck pot roast
    1/4 lb. bacon, chopped
    4 onions, sliced
    5 cloves garlic, chopped
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Put uncooked bacon, onion and garlic in a large casserole.
    Place roast on top.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Cover and cook 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until tender, turning beef halfway through cooking time.
    Slice roast across grain, top with onion mixture and serve.
    Reheats well.
