Fried Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    2 eggs, beaten until fluffy
    bacon drippings or vegetable oil
    salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Slice cabbage into wedges lengthwise, trying to leave a small piece of the core on each slice.
    Blanch in boiling water (salted) until cabbage is just beginning to become tender.
    Remove, cool and drain.
    Mix flour and salt well.
    Add eggs and milk as needed to consistency, so batter clings to cabbage.
    Dip wedges in batter and fry.
