German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 medium potatoes, cooked
    6 slices bacon
    1 medium onion, chopped fine
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1/3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. water
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. water
Preparation
    Saute bacon and onion until transparent.
    Add vinegar, sugar, water, salt and pepper.
    (Bacon should be cut into small crosswise strips before it is cooked.)
    Mix cornstarch with water to thin paste and stir into other ingredients.
    Stir until slightly thickened.
    Add diced, cooked potatoes and serve warm.
    Serves 6.
