Tina'S Syrup Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. syrup
    1 c. butter
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk with 2 tsp. baking soda added
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    6 c. plain flour (use 2 c. on rolling board)
Preparation
    Cook to soft ball stage and let cool the sugar, syrup and butter.
    Add eggs, buttermilk with baking soda added, nutmeg, vanilla and plain flour.
    Work in this mixture until stiff as desired.
    Roll out.
    Cut in desired size and bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
    Have coffee hot.
    They are delicious!!!
