Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 large carton Cool Whip
    bananas
    vanilla wafers
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and eggs; mix well. Gradually add milk. Cook and stir over medium heat until bubbly for 2 minutes; remove from heat. Add vanilla and butter. To prevent a skin from forming on the top of pudding, put wax paper directly on top of hot filling; let cool. When cool, add 1/2 or 3/4 container Cool Whip. Layer alternately with wafers and sliced bananas.
