Green Wonder Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2) can French-style beans
    1 (No. 2) can tiny English peas
    1 (No. 2) can Chinese vegetables
    1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, thinly sliced
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 1/2 c. celery, thinly sliced
    1 carrot, thinly sliced
    3/4 c. vinegar (cider)
Preparation
    Drain vegetables.
    Mix well all raw vegetables in bowl.
    Mix sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper.
    Pour over vegetables.
    Marinate in refrigerator overnight in covered dish or bowl.
