Pumpkin Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. strong chicken stock
1 medium onion, chopped
3/4 c. scallions or green onions
1 can pumpkin (about 2 1/2 c.)
2 c. half and half milk and cream
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 tsp. lemon pepper
1 c. heavy cream, whipped and salted
minced green onion tops
Preparation

Bring stock to a boil.
Add onions or scallions.
Simmer until tender.
Combine with pumpkin and whirl well in blender. Will be several batches.
Stir in
half and half.
Add seasons and simmer for 15 minutes.
Serve with dash of whipped cream on top and sprinkle with green onion tops.
Serves 8 to 10.
