Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. uncooked oatmeal (quick or old fashioned kind)
1 c. lightly packed brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. margarine
2 extra large eggs
1 3/4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Pour boiling water over oatmeal.
Let stand at room temperature 10 minutes.
Add brown and white sugars and margarine. Stir until margarine melts.
Add eggs; mix well.
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa.
Add flour to sugar mixture. Mix well.
Add about 1/2 package of the chocolate bits.
