Crisp Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 to 12 cucumbers
    8 c. sugar
    5 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. mixed pickling spice
    2 tsp. celery seed
    1 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers in boiling water to cover them.
    Use fresh boiling water each day.
    On day 5 slice cucumbers and pour hot syrup (made from all ingredients) over them.
    Heat syrup for 3 days.
    On day 4, place pickles in jars.
    Pour hot syrup over pickles.
    Seal and process 5 minutes.
    Enjoy.
