Beef 'N Potato Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 oz. frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
    3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 pkg. (3/4 oz.) brown gravy mix
    1 c. water
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    2 c. frozen mixed vegetables
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 can (2.8 oz.) Durkee French fried onions
    1 tsp. beef bouillon
    1 onion, chopped
Preparation
    In
    a
    shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish combine potatoes, oil and
    pepper.
    Firmly
    press
    mixture
    across bottom and up sides of dish to form a shell.
    Bake, uncovered, at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes. Meanwhile,
    in
    skillet, brown beef, onion and bouillon; drain. Stir in gravy mix, water and garlic salt; bring to a boil.
    Add mixed vegetables; reduce heat to medium and cook 5 minutes.
    Stir in 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 fried onions; place in shell.
    Bake
    at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Sprinkle with remaining cheese and onions; bake 5 minutes longer.
