Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1/4 c. shortening
    2/3 to 3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Cut shortening into flour with pastry blender until fine as corn meal.
    Add milk all at once and stir quickly to make soft but not sticky.
    If too stiff, add more milk.
    Knead dough gently; roll out dough and cut out biscuits.
    Makes 14 to 16 biscuits. Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
