Butterscotch Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk, scalded
3 slightly beaten egg yolks
3 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix flour, sugar and salt.
Gradually add milk.
Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
Cook 2 minutes and remove from heat.
Add a small amount to egg yolks and stir into remaining hot mixture.
Cook 1 minute and add vanilla.
Cool slightly.
Pour into baked pie shell and top with meringue.
