Blackberry Jam Cake (Layer) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    6 eggs, separated
    2 Tbsp. allspice
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. cloves
    2 Tbsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. sour cream or buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. blackberry jam
    3 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar gradually until light and fluffy.
    Add unbeaten egg yolks, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
    Add allspice, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Add sour cream or buttermilk into which soda has been added.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes in layer pans.
