Meat-Cheese Roll - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 or 2 eggs
3/4 c. Italian-style bread crumbs
1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/2 c. finely chopped onions (optional)
Preparation

Combine beef, egg, bread crumbs, onions, 1/3 cup tomato sauce, salt and pepper.
Mix well and shape into a flat rectangle about 10 x 12-inches on a piece of wax paper.
Sprinkle 1 1/2 cups cheese evenly over meat mixture.
Starting with shortest end, roll up jelly roll fashion and press ends of roll to seal.
Bake in a shallow baking pan for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
Drain of excess fat.
Pour remaining sauce over roll.
Garnish with remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Bake additional 5 minutes or until cheese starts to melt.
