Fig Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. cooking oil
    3 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. fig preserves
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Add oil and beat well.
    Add eggs and buttermilk gradually.
    Add figs, nuts and vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
