Ellen Austin'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 3/4 c. plain flour
    3/4 c. self-rising flour
    6 eggs
    3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. Crisco shortening
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
    1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
    1/2 c. cocoa or 1/2 c. coconut (if desired)
Preparation
    Cream
    sugar
    and
    shortening.\tBeat well until smooth. Add eggs, one
    at
    a
    time, beating after each egg.
    Add flour and milk
    alternately;\tbeat
    just
    enough
    to\tbe mixed.
    Add flavorings and mix\tlightly.
    Bake in a tube pan that has been greased and floured.
    Bake\tat 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Check often toward the end of baking time.
