Cherry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 can cherries
    1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix together sugar and butter.
    In another small bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add to sugar and butter mixture. Add milk and mix well.
    Pour into greased 1-quart baking dish. Drain cherries and reserve juice.
    Pour cherries over batter; sprinkle sugar over cherries (depending on tartness of cherries). Pour 1/2 cup cherry juice over all.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
