Chocolate Meringue Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (9-inch) pie crust
1 c. sugar
2 heaping Tbsp. flour
3 tsp. cocoa
dash of salt
1/2 stick margarine
1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
4 eggs, separated (yolks and whites)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
dash of cream of tartar
1/2 c. sugar
Preparation

Bake pie shell 5 to 6 minutes at 400\u00b0.
Mix all dry ingredients.
Mix well with a fork.
Place in 2-quart saucepan. Add margarine.
Beat egg yolks and mix with evaporated milk.
Add to dry ingredients.
Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickens and bubbles.
It burns easily, so stir constantly. May take 7 to 8 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla; stir well.
Pour into crust.
Beat egg whites until stiff and add cream of tartar.
May add 1/2 cup sugar.
Place on pie.
Brown in oven for 1 minute.
