Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    rice (cooked to serve 6)
    1 qt. milk
    1 heaping cup sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch (heaping)
    1 can evaporated milk
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Scald milk in large pan and add sugar.
    In bowl place eggs, cornstarch and evaporated milk.
    Mix well.
    Add to heated milk the sugar mixture.
    Stir until mixture boils.
    Remove from heat. Add rice and vanilla.
    Pour into large bowl and sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Add raisins if desired.
