Curried Red Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. red lentils
    4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
    4 Tbsp. margarine
    1 medium onion, diced
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
    1 1/2 tsp. ground coriander
    1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
    fresh cilantro for garnish
Preparation
    Rinse and clean lentils under cold running water.
    Put in a medium-sized saucepan along with water, oil and salt.
    Bring to a boil and cook, uncovered, for 20 minutes, over medium heat.
    Stir occasionally.
    Add diced potatoes.
