Marble Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. Crisco shortening
6 eggs
1/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (5 oz.) can chocolate syrup
3 c. sugar
3 c. sifted cake flour
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add 1 egg at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift together flour, salt and soda; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Add vanilla and blend well.
Pour half the batter into well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan; add chocolate syrup to remaining batter and swirl in. Pour remaining mixture over top of the other batter.
Bake 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
May take a little longer to bake.
