Ingredients

3 c. cooked, sliced beets
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. mild vinegar
4 Tbsp. cream
Preparation

Cook and stir last 4 ingredients until clear.
When clear, add beets and place pan, covered, over hot water for 1/2 hour.
Just before serving, heat beets again and add 2 tablespoons butter.
