Elmer'S Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. dry baby lima beans
    1 lb. bacon
    1 lb. brown sugar
Preparation
    Soak
    beans
    overnight in cold water.
    Bring beans to a boil and
    cook
    until
    the
    skin on the beans rolls back when blown on. Cut bacon into small pieces.
    Drain beans (save the liquid). Layer beans, brown sugar and bacon in a large baking dish or casserole.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 4 to 6 hours, until beans are
    brown and
    soft
    in
    texture.
    Stir
    occasionally
    while baking.
    Add retained
    liquid from beans as desired, to maintain preferred consistency and prevent overbrowning.
