Buttermilk Cut-Outs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda (add to buttermilk)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Add vanilla.
    Alternate adding buttermilk and flour.
    Chill 24 hours.
    Roll and cut.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 7 minutes (roll thick).
    These cookies are meant to be soft.
