Ingredients

1 pkg. butter recipe cake mix, baked following directions
1 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
6 oz. coconut
1 (13 1/2 oz.) container Cool Whip
coconut (for garnish)
Preparation

While cake is baking, mix sugar and evaporated milk.
Let simmer to a boil, then add grated coconut.
When cake is done, punch holes in top with a fork and pour mixture over entire cake. Spread with a spoon.
After cake cools, spread with a 13 1/2 ounce size Cool Whip and sprinkle coconut on top as desired.
Cover and refrigerate.
