Layered Green Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, chopped
    1 c. celery, diced
    1 large bell pepper, diced
    1 large purple onion, diced
    3/4 c. frozen English peas
    1 pt. mayonnaise
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 c. Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Arrange in layers in large bowl in the order listed: lettuce, celery, pepper, onion and peas.
    Seal top with mayonnaise. Sprinkle sugar over mayonnaise.
    Sprinkle cheese over top.
    Seal and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours or overnight.
    When serving, dip down through all layers; do not mix.
