Ketchup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

48 ripe tomatoes
2 ripe sweet peppers
2 sweet green peppers
4 onions
3 c. white vinegar
3 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. salt
3 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. red pepper
1/2 tsp. whole allspice
1 1/2 tsp. whole cloves
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon sticks, broken
Preparation

Quarter tomatoes and remove stems.
Add peppers, seeds removed, and slice in strips.
Add chopped onions.
Place 1/3 in blender or food processor; mix until smooth.
Repeat until all tomatoes are blended.
Add vinegar, salt, sugar and spices, tied loosely in muslin bag.
Simmer, uncovered, until mixture is reduced to 1/2.
Pour into hot jars and cover loosely with lids. Process at 212\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Remove and tighten lids.
Makes 5 pints.
