German Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bar German sweet chocolate
    1/2 c. hot water
    4 eggs
    2 sticks margarine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine chocolate and hot water; refrigerate while mixing other ingredients.
    Separate eggs; beat whites until stiff.
    Set aside egg whites.
    Mix margarine, salt, vanilla, sugar and baking soda, then add chocolate, flour and buttermilk.
    Fold in beaten egg whites.
    Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan lined with waxed paper.
