Broccoli And Ham Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    2 c. diced fully cooked ham (10 oz.)
    2 (13 3/4 oz.) cans chicken broth
    2 c. chopped fresh or frozen broccoli
    1 (7 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up (reserve liquid)
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. elbow macaroni
    Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Combine onion, garlic and margarine in 3-quart casserole. Cook at High for three minutes until onion is tender.
    Stir in ham, broth, broccoli, tomatoes and liquid, water and macaroni. Cover and cook on High for 15 minutes until boiling, stirring once to break up broccoli.
    Cook at Medium for eight minutes until broccoli and macaroni are tender.
    Season to taste with salt and pepper.
    Sprinkle individual servings with grated Parmesan cheese. Serves 6.
