Poached Salmon Or Cod(Kokt Laks Eller Torsk) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. salt
    5 peppercorns
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 thick slice yellow onion
    fresh dill and 1 sprig parsley
Preparation
    Place fillet (can be frozen) or steaks of fish in boiling water to cover.
    For each quart of water add the listed ingredients. Heat to simmer and let steep until fish flakes easily.
    Lift carefully with a slotted spoon.
    Serve with melted butter mixed with finely chopped hard-boiled eggs and boiled potatoes.
