1-2-3-4 Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
1 c. milk
Preparation

Sift the dry ingredients into a large bowl.
Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender or your hands until you have fine crumbs.
Pour in the milk and stir until well blended.
Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead for one minute and roll or pat to about 3/4-inch thick.
Cut with a floured cutter and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake in a preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly brown on top.
Serve warm.
(Brush the tops with butter if desired.)
