Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
6 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. scalded milk (1/2 canned)
4 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1 baked pastry shell
Preparation

Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan.
Add scalded milk and cook over low heat until the mixture thickens.
Beat egg yolks and pour part of milk mixture over them.
Then pour back into pan. Remove from heat.
Add vanilla.
Pour into baked pie shell.
Make meringue from 3 egg whites.
