Italian Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1/4 lb. sweet (or hot) Italian sausage (approximately 2 links)
    2 green onions, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. tomato paste
    3/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 c. red wine
    1/4 c. cubed Provolone cheese
    green pepper rings
Preparation
    Combine beef, sausages (remove from casings), green onions, garlic, crumbs, eggs, tomato paste, thyme, salt, pepper and wine. Mix thoroughly.
    Place half the mixture in a loaf pan.
    Make a well down the center and fill with cheese.
    Cover with remaining meat mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for one hour.
