Mamma Dee'S Corn Bread Mush - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. water
    3 c. cornmeal
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 stalks green onion, diced or chopped
    1/2 c. cooking oil (your choice)
Preparation
    Start water to boiling.
    Add salt, sugar, oil and green onion. Cook 15 minutes.
    Lower to medium heat.
    Stir in cornmeal (like cooking grits); stir until mixture becomes stiff and thick in texture.
    Remove mixture to wax paper for 5 minutes.
    Hand pat into desired shape.
    Fill Fry Daddy to oil level; heat oil until hot.
    Drop in 4 to 6 bread pods.
    Fry 3 to 5 minutes.
    Bread is ready when it becomes golden brown and floats to top of oil. Yields 16 to 20 pieces.
