Cake With A Surprise - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 German chocolate cake mix
    10 or 12 oz. caramels
    1 can Eagle Brand
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 (2 1/4 oz.) pkg. pecans
Preparation
    Mix cake as directed.
    Pour 1/2 in cake pan.
    Bake about 20 minutes.
    Melt caramels with Eagle Brand in double boiler; spread on cake.
    Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans on top.
    Use rest of cake mix.
    Bake until done.
