Strawberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. strawberry jello, dissolved with 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, partially thawed
    1 small can crushed pineapple, drained
    1 1/2 mashed bananas
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 small container sour cream
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except sour cream.
    Pour 1/2 of the strawberry mixture into a casserole dish.
    Cover remainder and keep at room temperature.
    Refrigerate portion in casserole dish until set.
    Spread with sour cream; let sour cream come to room temperature for easier application.
    Top with remainder of strawberry mixture and return to refrigerator.
    Allow to congeal completely before serving.
    This dish compliments turkey and dressing or ham nicely.
    Serve on lettuce leaves.
